Bullying

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.
There are many roles that kids can play. Kids can bully others, they can be bullied, or they may witness bullying. When kids are involved in bullying, they often play more than one role. It is important to understand the multiple roles kids play in order to effectively prevent and respond to bullying. There are some specific types of bullying behaviour: verbal or written abuse (such as targeted name-calling or jokes, or displaying offensive posters); violence (including threats of violence); sexual harassment (unwelcome or unreciprocated conduct of a sexual nature, which could reasonably be expected to cause offence, humiliation or intimidation); homophobia and other hostile behaviour towards students relating to gender and sexuality ; discrimination including racial discrimination (treating people differently because of their identity) ; cyberbullying - either online or via mobile phone.

Inspiring Person: Soekarno

I believe that everyone has an inspiring person. It could be an actor, actress, musician, or maybe politician. I want to tell about my inspiring person. He is a very famous person and I think everyone knows him. He is Soekarno. I've been admired our first Indonesian president since a long time ago. The reason why I admire Soekarno is because of his passion and dignity to make Indonesia indenpendent. It was hard to believe that Indonesia had a person like him and apparently this information is just two-percent of his real life and struggle to make Indonesia independent. Ir.Soekarno is the first Indonesian office in periode 1945-1966. He played an important role in the independence of the Indonesian nation. Along with Mohammad Hatta, Soekarno was Proclaimers Independence of Indonesia on August 17, 1945. I admire Sukarno because he was the nation's leaders who have a very strong personality, dignity, a sense of patriotism (nationalism), which is very high, an orator (an expert in speech) that exceptional, progressive-minded, as well religious figure. Nationalism and the personality of Sukarno has been proved by his struggle to achieve independence until Indonesia proclaimed its independence of this nation. If I asked you a question, "Who is the best Indonesian president?" I guess that you will answer "Soekarno". Yes, Soekarno is the best Indonesian president because with him, Indonesia was the strong, brave, and confident country. We were much more independently country because there was no country that could control us. Soekarno didn't fear to spoke up to the world with his opinions and complains. He had a very big spirit, very big charisma, brilliant opinions, and powerful voice whenever he talked in front of the public. All countries around the world paid attention to our country at that time. He is one of the best leader in the world. He wants Indonesia become a big country in the world without depends on other countries.
When Soekarno (Indonesia's first president) and Mohammed Hatta (first vice-president), two of the country's most prominent nationalists, pronounced the proclamation of Indonesian independence on 17 August 1945, together with the publication of a short and provisional constitution, troubles were far from over. In fact, it would take four more years of Revolution against the Dutch who - after being freed from the Germans in Europe - returned to reclaim their colony. The Dutch were stubborn to relinquish their lucrative Southeast Asian colony but eventually had to face reality. Under international pressure they acknowledged Indonesian independence in 1949 (except for the western half of the island of New Guinea). However, negotiations with the Dutch resulted in the 'Republic of the United States of Indonesia' containing a Federal Constitution that was considered to be too much influenced by the Dutch. Therefore, it was quickly replaced by a new constitution in 1950 which stipulated a parliamentary system of government, provided guarantees for individual freedoms and made the military subordinate to the nation's civilian leadership. The president mainly had a ceremonial role only in this system. How about his spirit? His spirit is very big to released Indonesia from Dutch colonized. He has a quote, “Don’t forget about history”. It means that we shouldn’t forget about all struggles that Indonesian heroes has done. They had a very big spirit that could change our country’s faith. So, in conclusion, Soekarno is a best leader to follow. His leadership can’t be compared to any Indonesian leader at this time.

Idul Fitri 2014

Last Lebaran holiday, I got two weeks holiday. One week before Lebaran, and one week after Lebaran. In the week before Lebaran, I just went to some places in Bandung with my family. I went to some malls, went around the city to “ngabuburit”, breakfasting with my big family in my cousin’s house, and breakfasting in some restaurant. I thought Ramadhan this year flew very fast. I felt like I just fasting for some weeks and suddenly Idul Fitri came! On Malam Takbiran, I and my family went to my grandparents’s house and gathered with all my big family. It was like tradition in my big family, every year, at Malam Takbiran we always came to my grandparents’s house. It was very fun. There was some fireworks. And because of my grandparents’s house is near to the mosque, the sound of takbir was clearly heard by us. After that, I came back to my house at 10 p.m. Some of my cousins slept over in my grandparents’s house. But I didn’t, because I pray Ied in the mosque near my house, and I must did the silaturahmi with my neighbors. On Lebaran, I and my family didn’t go to other city, we just stayed in Bandung because all of my family is in Bandung. I went to all my cousin’s house to do the silaturahmi. On the day of Lebaran, I and my family prayed Ied in the mosque near my house. After prayed, I silaturahmi with my neighbors. After finished, I and my family went to my grandparents’s house. There, I met all my big family again. We apologized to each other. And then, we ate the food that always exist in Lebaran, such as Ketupat, Opor Ayam, and Lebaran’s pastry. After that, we gathered and shared about everything, we told our stories, and we spent the time with laugh and laugh. The condition was very warm and I love that.
After that, we went to the out of the house to take some photos. It was very awesome. We were so excited. We took so many photos. Here are some photos that I took in Lebaran at my grandparents’s house.
